Jamie Zarra is a lifelong member of the Brentwood community, where she grew up and raised her two children. Her son, Donato, graduated last year and has already stepped into the workforce, while her daughter, Nelina, will graduate in 2026 and has committed to the University of Pittsburgh, where she plans to major in public health.

Jamie Zarra is a lifelong member of the Brentwood community, where she grew up and raised her two children. Her son, Donato, graduated last year and has already stepped into the workforce, while her daughter, Nelina, will graduate in 2026 and has committed to the University of Pittsburgh, where she plans to major in public health.

The past few years have brought significant challenges for their family. In 2023, Jamie was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and her children also faced the unexpected loss of their father. Through it all, Donato and Nelina have shown incredible strength and resilience. Jamie is endlessly proud of the young adults they are becoming and is committed to supporting them as a single mother in every way she can. Any funds received will be saved to help support their future as they take their next steps forward.

Christine Jones McVeigh has faced an extraordinary series of medical and personal challenges. In July 2025, she was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer, following earlier medical issues that included the need for a pacemaker replacement and an upcoming right hip replacement. She has since undergone breast tumor removal 

Christine Jones McVeigh has faced an extraordinary series of medical and personal challenges. In July 2025, she was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer, following earlier medical issues that included the need for a pacemaker replacement and an upcoming right hip replacement. She has since undergone breast tumor removal surgery and is currently awaiting further guidance on next steps in her treatment. Due to the complexity of her medical needs, her care team continues to carefully coordinate her treatment plan.

Christine is a devoted mother to her two sons, Ian and Tyler. After the unexpected loss of her husband in 2021, her children became her entire world. Despite everything she has faced, Christine has remained a constant source of love, strength, and support for her boys, always putting their needs first. 

Christine has deep roots in Brentwood and has volunteered for many years with DTP, giving back through baking and hands‑on support whenever she is able. Any assistance received would help with medical co‑payments, procedures, and ongoing treatment expenses as she continues this long road to recovery.

A 1976 graduate of Brentwood High School, Linda Muslin has deep roots in the community. She has been married to her husband, Bob, since 1986, and together they raised three children—Mallorie, Trevor, and Kirsten. Linda treasures time spent with her family and friends, and her greatest hope is to continue sharing those meaningful moments f

She has been married to her husband, Bob, since 1986, and together they raised three children—Mallorie, Trevor, and Kirsten. Linda treasures time spent with her family and friends, and her greatest hope is to continue sharing those meaningful moments for years to come. Any assistance received would help offset medical co‑payments and travel expenses related to her ongoing care.

Linda has been navigating a challenging health journey following her diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer. The past few winter months have been an especially difficult period She continues to attend regular appointments for treatments and scans, and is seeking some relief to help ease the physical, emotional, and financial strain of her ongoing care.

Michelle Beseny is a 2000 Brentwood graduate, a newlywed, and a devoted mother who cherishes time at home with her family and the simple moments they share together. Over the past few years, Michelle’s life has changed in profound ways as she welcomed a daughter, became a foster and then adoptive parent, and built a new home with her husb

Michelle Beseny is a 2000 Brentwood graduate, a newlywed, and a devoted mother who cherishes time at home with her family and the simple moments they share together. Over the past few years, Michelle’s life has changed in profound ways as she welcomed a daughter, became a foster and then adoptive parent, and built a new home with her husband.

Alongside these joyful milestones, Michelle has faced significant health challenges. In 2025, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and has since undergone extensive treatment, multiple surgeries, and ongoing recovery. The physical, emotional, and financial toll has been substantial, especially as she has been unable to return to work during treatment. Through it all, Michelle continues to show remarkable strength, gratitude, and determination, leaning on her family and medical team as she focuses on healing and caring for her loved ones. Any assistance provided will help ease the burden on her family as they continue moving forward together.

Despite it all, Jana is known for her positive spirit and caring nature, always putting others first. A devoted mom, she takes pride in her children and finds joy in her garden, often sharing her love and knowledge of plants with those around her. Jana’s journey has touched many lives, and the support from Drop the Puck on Cancer will help ease the burden of medical bills and prescriptions as she continues her fight.
